What is Bronchogen?
If you want to buy Bronchogen, it is of course important to know what it is. Bronchogen (Ala-Glu-Asp-Leu) is a DNA stabilizing peptide only four amino acids long. It is a bioregulatory peptide with tissue-specific effects in the lungs. It stimulates the growth, proliferation and differentiation of certain cell types. Research in rat models shows that Bronchogen can reduce inflammation and restore healthy lung tissues by affecting several DNA transcription pathways. The ultimate effect of Bronchogen in the lungs is to improve the epithelium, increase surfactant production and reduce inflammation. Research is currently being conducted into the benefits of Bronchogen, not only in illness, but also in aging. It appears that Bronchogen is geroprotective and helps reverse the age-related decline in lung function by reactivating senescent DNA. The peptide may prove useful in unraveling pathways that protect against cancer development in the lungs.
Effects of Bronchogen
The primary effects of Bronchogen, as described above, are focused on growth and differentiation. Thanks to the tissue-specific action of Bronchogen, these effects are mainly limited to lung tissue. Research in rats shows that Bronchogen is very effective against certain disease conditions. This includes chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma, within the lungs. Bronchogen helps prevent and alleviate the remodeling that occurs in these diseases. It also improves the abnormal immune response that causes hyperplasia, dysplasia and ciliated cell death. It also appears to reduce levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines! This reduces inflammation in the lungs and prevents scarring and fibrosis.
Research in rats shows that Bronchogen can restore the lung epithelium after induction of COPD and other inflammatory diseases. This results in an increase in surfactant production and reduced alveolar surface tension. This means that Bronchogen intervenes in the causal process of disease progression in lungs rather than just treating symptoms. By increasing surfactant production, Bronchogen literally increases the lungs’ ability to exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood. By repairing epithelial cells, such as ciliated cells, Bronchogen helps the lungs to efficiently distribute surfactant and remove waste products and toxins.
DNA stabilization with Bronchogen
By stabilizing DNA, Bronchogen reduces the amount of damage it sustains over time and slows the rate of cell division. These features in turn reduce the need for telomerase activity. Most importantly, it allows the DNA to stay healthy for longer! This prevents the transition of cells with unhealthy DNA to a senescent state or even apoptosis. The net result is reduced senescence and improved overall tissue health because cells stay healthy longer. The ultimately limited capacity of all human tissue is retained to regenerate itself from stem cells.
Research of Bronchogen
Basic research using microcalorimetric measurements indicates that DNA in the presence of Bronchogen has a higher melting point than DNA treated otherwise. This may seem like a trivial fact that is only useful in a handful of very specific, technical laboratory protocols, but in fact this finding has broader implications. Research into the stability of DNA has shown that the greater the stability of DNA, the less degradation occurs over time and the less telomerase is activated. Microcalorimetric measurements are an excellent proxy for DNA stability under realistic conditions.
Now it may sound counterintuitive that activating telomerase can sometimes be a bad thing. After all, telomerase protects telomeres and ensures that cells do not become senescent due to short chromosomes. While this is true, telomerase activity is also associated with an increased risk of cancer. This is because DNA sustains damage in certain circumstances and this damage induces telomerase activity.
This leads to two problems. First, the DNA repair process is not perfect, so lengthening telomeres can actually prevent normal apoptotic mechanisms from ridding the body of cells containing abnormal DNA in some cases. The second problem is that high levels of telomerase activity are only necessary when cell turnover is high. So high telomerase activity is actually a marker of rapid aging. So, while telomerase is good, the fact that it has to be used is actually not so good. This is because it indicates rapid cell turnover as potentially increased DNA damage. In short, the balance between telomerase activity and DNA health is a delicate issue. In an ideal world, telomerase would be activated less often because the DNA remains healthier and the enzyme is therefore needed less.

Is it legal to buy Bronchogen?
Anyone over the age of 18 can buy Bronchogen because it is a research chemical. Peptides are subject to various government rules and regulations. As a result, we are not permitted to present health claims or specify consumption methods. We supply Bronchogen freeze-dried, with the choice between a nasal spray bottle or a glass ampoule. This so that people can make their own choice about how they will apply the Bronchogen. This ensures shelf life: from the moment you mix the Bronchogen in the nasal spray or glass ampoule with sterile water, it has a shelf life of 3 months and is effective.
